The Mountainside Newcomers Club

The members of Mountainside Newcomer's Club participated in the Second Chance Toys program this past holiday season.  Thank you so much to all who participated in bringing joy to many children in need.  See the results of our efforts by going to the Second Chance Toys Website.

The Mountainside Newcomers Club's main charity is the St. Joseph's Community Center.

Monthly Collections:
There is an ever-present need for basic toiletries for the families at the St. Joseph's Community Center. Each month, we ask the members of the Mountainside Newcomers Club to donate the below items to the center. These items can be dropped off at the Community Chairperson's house.

Collection Schedule:
July - OTC meds like ibuprofen, aspirin, antibiotic creams, etc.
August - Deodorant and lip balm
Sept - NO COLLECTION
October - Hair shampoo/conditioner
November - Toothpaste and toothbrushes
December - NO COLLECTION

May/June - Camping Supplies
August/September - Back to School Supplies
October - Halloween Treats
December - Christmas Stockings

Annual Garage Sale:
In September, the Mountainside Newcomers Club hosts a town-wide garage sale. You must register to participate in the garage sale. For a small fee, the Newcomers Club will advertise the dates and locations of all of the participating homes in the garage sale. It's a great way to clean out your house of any unwanted items!! Registration for this event begins in June.
